Imagine a photo on your phone ending up with a person you'd rather not see. This can happen to owners of Samsung phones in the US. Among other things, the popular devices Galaxy Note 8 and Galaxy S9 can send random photos to random contacts unsolicited via Samsung chat app Samsung Messages. The craziest thing is that the sender can't even see that the photo has been sent. The problem is probably with the configuration of the rcs: Rich Communication Services, a kind of SMS that allows you to send photos over the internet. Solution is given to deny Samsung messages access to photos. rcs is not yet used in the Netherlands, that's why the problem hasn't happened here yet.
