Martijn Nawijn conducted research into the development of COPD and asthma in humans and used mice as laboratory animals. His research failed due to a technical problem. After the study, he spoke to several other researchers who have tried the same and were also unsuccessful. Nawijn knew nothing about this, because there is hardly any publication about failed studies. Thanks to a subsidy from ZonMw, Nawijn can now publish about his research. (Source: RTV North)
