The right hemisphere of the brain

Not all decisions are the result of a rational process

It is often difficult enough to predict the behavior of a complex system. It becomes even more difficult, when the individual behavior of the players in the system cannot be (directly) explained on the basis of known facts. Some people are unpredictable and/or inconsistent in their reactions and decisions, and this introduces an additional degree of uncertainty. There are theories that relate the hemisphere to rational processes and the right hemisphere to feeling and emotional processes.
