I'm going to pay particular attention to whether the failure would not have been very easy to avoid, and whether it carries a message that many others can learn from.

Can you share a Brilliant Failure with us?

My biggest failure is that I spent years doing research without actively involving patients as serious partners in research. I am now trying to make up for that in all my ongoing investigations.
